on this second projected i had to create me a triptych. a triptych is a mixture of 3 or more images that represent a certain topic, for example music, movies or what ever someone wants to express in their own words, and thats what i did. i did a triptych on music. the first step in making my music triptych was to find a song i liked best. then i had to find some images on the web that fit best with the lyrics of the song, for example if the song talked about american troopers i would have to find a good picture of our american troops. then we had to mix in different layers and blend in different colors to represent the mood of our song or the theme we wanted the viewers to get when they saw the pictures.
i see my second project as a success because i can see i did a better job of blending in the colors of my different pictures and did a better job representing the mood and theme the song try to give its listeners. i can also see that my triptych has many more blending options than my first photoshop project. for my triptych song i choose forever young by jay z because i think that song is a good way to tell the older generation never to forget they were once young and never to forget their good times and to let the newer generation know never to stop being young and always keep that young kid in them trough out their life time. the ending of my project feels like a success because its something a young teenager would be interested in because it deals with their time and the images used, may catch their attention because it has bright colors but then has a ghostly glow. the tolls i used in this photoshop project where the magic wand, the magnetic lasso and the rectangular marque tool. i also used a inner shadow and a outer glow on my triptychs. i used a filter to make the rewind pop out but also let the second layer be seen. i adjusted the opacity on mostly all the triptychs to make it seem like a time from the past or like a thought.for my pictures i used pictures with a twist first i looked for a peaceful and happy picture and then a picture with a bit of abandonment and sad mood. i used this two moods because i felt that his song talked about losing your sense of happiness or just being dad without the young, fun, party, other half of you when you were a little youngster. i try to put a mood or a feeling by making it half and half. one half happiness and joy and the other sadness or disaster. for example his lyrics say "heaven can wait were only watching the skies, hoping for the best but expecting the worse are yo gonna drop the bomb or not..." their i blended a picture of the sea and the skies with two young kids playing in the sand then a nuke going off killing everyone for not being ready for reality. or the time he says " cuz there is no tomorrow just a picture perfect day to last a whole life time and it never ends cuz all we have to do is hit rewind. for this section i used a nice sunset and then a abandoned city and inserted a rewind button.
lastly i feel this year is gonna be a little difficult because of the fact that i am not as experienced in photoshop then many others who already tried it before, but i can say that my experience with photoshop has been a blast and i expect to keep doing it even when i am no longer in school, i enjoy working with it and hope that i can keep doing it. photoshop has made me see that anyone is capable of working with it and i like this because it relaxes me and helps me like a distraction from events in the past and i feel that i did a good job every time i hand in a project because time and concentration goes into it and i know thats one of the keys to being successful : ) thank you and i hope you like my triptych.
